Filipino children watch mostly Western-made shows, leading them to imitate behaviors and communication styles that sometimes overshadow traditional Filipino practices like pagmamano.
Children naturally copy what they see online, causing parents to frequently correct behaviors, language, and attitudes that reflect Western norms rather than Filipino values such as respeto.
There is very little digital media that intentionally teaches Filipino values such as respeto and pakikisama, making it harder for parents to find culturally relevant content for their children.
